Fuel pressure and Return style issue

Ok I got a 06 cobalt LS 2.2 I know this is lsj discussion but it's cuz I got a lsj rail with 80's and return style system and adjustable fuel pressure regulator but for the life of me we can't get it under 78psi it's a fuel lab AFPR the screw is all the way out and still will not drop it's connected to a vac port on the intake manifold please help I'm 100% sure the person that installed it knows what he's doing and said he removed the ball and spring regulator but Idk please help

I have the adjustable pressure regulator to regulate pressure shouldn't need both

you did not say you took it from the tank be more specific next time

you may have a bad regulator or it could be hooked up wrong

y take out the ball and spring if Ur not going below 60psi base pressure

Its beneficial to go below 60PSI when running 80's. I'm running 45 PSI at 18 in/hg. Helps tremendously with idling smoothly.

Can you describe how it is hooked up please?

sounds like its not allowing any fuel to return to the tank. check to make sure your lines arent blocked and that the in and out on the regulator is plumbed the right way.

my car idles perfectly smooth at stock pressure and at the 70psi base pressure i have it now. Im maxing the 80s so i have it bumped up a Lil.

its all in the tune.
