ANy one figure out the Knocking comeing from the back of the car? it almost sound like some one is knocking on the rear drivers side of the car or glass? freaked me out! and the exhasut clicking during driving and especially suring shut off and cool down? is it supposed to be that loud?

 

It may be some type of a relay or something located in the rear of the car due to the battery location in the trunk. I have no idea, just a guess.

My car does the same thing when I turn it off and when I go from a slow speed to a fast speed it makes a clicking nosie. I don't understand what the hell it is but i want it to stop.

and when a problem isnt resolved and there arent any SURE answers ... I a college graduate umm...was taught TO ASK QUESTIONS. and a search was done but how can it work when it doesnt result in any conclusive 100% data? none of the threads had any answers just speculation. and as i was saying? does any one else have these problems? The knocking sounds like a person hitting the rear window. its really odd. and the exhaust has a wicked loud click. any one else?

cant remember wat i read exactly but apparently something is checking something lol, i wouldnt worry about it.

 

the exhaus ticklin will become a rattling, then it will sound super loud. At this point you will have to take it to your dealer to change your exhaust system. a lot of the 05s and 06s had this problem. along witht he sunroof button falling off.

 

The noise that occurs right after start up and right after tuning the car off is coming from the fuel tank or purge canaster located right by the rear axle.

Have some one turn your car on while you are sticking your head under the rear of your car. You can hear it very clearly this way.

So as far as the exhaust ..im going to need a new one? i only have 500 miles on the car. i just broke 500 actually.

 

my car has ticked from day one and i have 3200 miles on mine my budy has an 05 with 6000 miles on it and its ticked from day one. seems to me like they just do.

 

its all normal, anoying but normal...

 

Hey dude I have already posted a true and definitive answer to that : The knock is normal and is caused by a kind of EVAP device located in the outside bottom of the gas tank. Mine does the same noise.

 

we have over 20,000 on ours and the noise is gone

 

i get the same noise..it really does sound like someone is knocing on the window its weird.... but its not like i can bring it to the dealer because it does not do it all the time so there think im nuts or something
