Hey guys, i'm still new to the cobalt stuff. my ss/sc got smashed into 2 weeks ago and im still waiting for it to come back (only had it for 5 days). I was wondering what parts can be ordered through GM and will not void my warranty. I know that the stage 2 is dealer installed and can be ordered through gm, but i see everyone talking about GMPP parts...what are these? can they be ordered through the dealer and installed by them. Can anyone list the parts and part #'s that can be ordered and installed at the dealer?

the reason i ask is because i bought the extended warranty untill 75k miles and i only have 3l on my car.

yup the dealer can put them on and they will keep your warrenty . CrateEngineDepot.com is a great site. i got my intake from them and my gmpp muffler tip and soon to be my gmpp cat back.

Just about everything on our site is GMPP, yes most are GM Accessories and do not affect your warranty, give an idea of what your looking for.

 

I got a lot of pieces and parts from them. I suggest them as well. Never seen even one issue with them and they have just about anything official from GM. Mainly, they have those odds and ends to finish work. That is why I love them.

you can install them yourself and they won't void the warranty. the dealer will bend you over on install charges, so if you decide to go to the dealer, stop off at the drug store first. they don't include any lube in the price.

my friend is a certified gm mechanic and could do the install...but dosnt work for a dealer anymore but works for pratt and whitney...but if he installed it would it be under warranty?
