I took the car for a rinse off at the car wash today to get her cleaned up for her long winters nap....

On my way home, I got on her from a roll.... the tires started to break loose at the top of 2nd. Let off before I needed to shift to 3rd, and just smiled.

Never had that happen before. Fun times

Yeah man.... I used to always get the usual tire destruction from first to 2nd, but this was new, because it happened as the power was building at the top of 2nd, right before my shift point.

I love the new found power. You can feel it continue to swell all the way to 7500 rpm. The cams are really breathing now thanks to the ported head. Everything is working together nicely.

Thats awesome! Glad you got to go for a little rip before the snow hit. It was decent here yesterday afternoon before it got really cold again last night and I went WOT in 3rd from 70 and the tires just roasted...then I remembered I have studded tires on and it was still only 28* out lol

Yep, that's why I havent been able to launch her. I have fairly new tires. Never broke traction at the top of 2nd like it does now.

I can't wait to get some race gas in her.

Technically she will sleep, but on nice winter days, I will take her for a nice country ride.

Currently, she is wiped down and clean. Tire pressure jacked up a bit, and parked on carpets. Stabil in the tank. All I need to do is wax her, and throw the cover on.

I'll prob wait, because my new SS/TC's struts arrive today.

Nice! More parts are good lol

I am hoping for some of those nice winter days when I get mine together. At least I have my other one to drive to get my fix.

Yeah, back to focusing on suspension again, lol.

Ur lucky having two fun cars. My 98 cavalier winter beater is slow as *****, haha.

Nah, I already have SS/TC shocks, so I picked up the struts on amazon for like $165 shipped for the pair. I'm installing them with SS/TC springs I picked up on here cheap.

I'm currently on CM springs, and can't take slamming the pot holes anymore. The roads in NEPA are awful, and it makes driving a lowered car not fun.

I would recommend trying to get a set. They really aren't all that low and ride like stock with less body roll. However just going to the TC struts was good.

Yeah, I want to stick with an oem setup, and the SS/TC oem setup is the **** in regards to that. I'm going to pick up some powergrid endlinks as well.

Do it!

Don't kno if you will ever find a GMR head, but an exhaust ported head will do you well.

I can't wait for the weather to clear up out here so that I can finally get my car together. I don't have camshafts but I'm hoping that with the other modifications and a tune that it will wake up nicely.

I cant wait for the damn salt/brine/cinders to wash off the road, so I can take my car for a spin. Last time I drove my car was Christmas day.

It wouldnt be so bad if I didnt just install a ported head, lol.
