Everything is ready to go. All that's left to do, is fill up with fresh coolant, and fire her up.

I can't wait to hear her come back to life.

Exciting! The first few seconds you get nervous, then when it runs well and doesn't leak you feel accomplished lol

Haha, yep.

I have tons of confidence everything will be perfect, but I'm still nervous at the same time.

I feel a lot better this time around than I did last year when I installed the cams.

I can't stop thinking about it. Only 5 more hours of work, and I'll be back home to work on the car.

Hey guys, I don't get on here much over the weekend.

I finished the car up Friday, and took it for a spin on Saturday & Sunday. I put about 50 miles on her.

She runs mint. Pulls a hell of a lot harder. The head is def helping all my other parts do their job better.

It has to be my favorite mod thus far. Def the most noticeable gain.

To put things in perspective.... My wife loves going for cruises in my car, but after I punched it off a 1-2 shift, she said if I do that again she will never ride with me again, lol.

lol@ your better half you had better listen to her! When Speedbuggy talked of over 20 whp increase with the head the usual disclaimers popped up.
Glad its working, I wish I could convince GMPP to produce more. Best value for sure. Good luck and congrats on the upgrade.

That was with Sunoco 260GT100.

I will be taking her to the actual dyno this spring now that my modifications are complete.

Thank you John. Haha, yeah I listened to the better half and drove like a granny after that.

I was just as surprised as her with the power. GM should have held off on the SS/TC until 2009, and made a 2008 SS/SC with this cylinder head and the GMR S3 kit installed from the factory. Would have made for a nice factory SS/SC Cobalt.

Have you logged your car with HPT yet?

I am on the GM Stage 2 pulley with 42's and am running 108% duty cycle at 7000 rpm. Not nearly as many mods as you.

GMR S3 is pretty lean. My AFR is around 11.6-11.8 with my mods. Yesterday was 25 degrees out, and I had no issues at wot.

Duty cycle at 7500 rpm is near 100%, but there are no redic lean spikes or anything. Car runs great. I did not wind her out fully yet though. I don't want beat on it till I get some more miles on her. Not to mention, I had **** for traction.

I'm not worried about the 42's. Time Attack ran them much harder than I ever will.

That is crazy that I am on a bigger pulley then you and my injectors are working harder .

I am on the GM stg 2 version. Only mods to the tune are codes shut off and boost reduction in first.

What are the odds of you pulling the GMR file from your PCM and sending it to me?
