The GMR calibration hasnt failed me yet.
I wont be flowing as much as the build books engine due to a less aggressive cam profile (Comp/ZZP S1 vs. GMR), so I may be ok.
Everything will be checked. For now, I just want to get her started up and running.

I know that exact feeling. When I did my valve springs it was clocked wrong, but I was low on fuel so after it took a few seconds to start I drove to the gas station. Filled, went to start it, cranked for 5 seconds and BOOM!!! Everyone stopped and stared...tried it again, BOOM! A guy came out and yelled at me So I pushed it off to the side, waited and tried for a half second and it fired right up! Went back tot he shop and got it clocked right and had a story to tell lol.

Hahaha, yup.
This is actually by second time timing the car, so I feel 100% confident she will fire fine.
Last year, I had some issues with the CPS and timing in general, but got them figured out.
This year it was a breeze. These cars are cake to work on.
This.
I perfectly brought the car to TDC via the timing mark on the harmonic balancer & front cover (intake cam @ 2 o'clock, exhaust cam @ 10 o'clock).
Rotated the CPS wheel to line up with the timing mark on the outside of the housing, and popped her in. She slid in with ease.
Yes sir. How do you think I ran my cams??
I have no worries that the GMR tune will run just fine. I've had lots of convos back and forth with Bill Duncan (the GM Engineer who helped develop the tune and the engine in the build book).
Last time (last year), on my initial start up, I had some issues. Car was out of timing by a tooth, due to the chain jumping while using the kent moore cam sprocket tool. Retimed the engine the right way, and she fired right up.
This time, I'm much more confident. I've gone over everything a million times. She should be good to go.
