sorry if this has been posted, i know i can get a tune from someone on here but if i bought a stage 2 kit can gm still flash my car. Like i said sorry if its been posted but i could not find it.

 

If your talking about buying the GM stage 2 kit and installing it your self then taking it to the dealer for programing then I would say yes. All you need is the programming code from the kit instructions so your local dealer can call it in to GM Techline. Your VIN will then be updated to a stage two programming, after that then the dealer can do the reprogram.

 

its basically a frankinstain kit. everything is gm but from different people. but you think i can buy the reflash from gm. everything is used

 

No, GM is very strict about software. Your only going to get one VIN updated with every kit programming code. Software is not sold seperatly. Your best bet is to go after market on the software.

 

Find someone with HP tuners .....they can get the stage kit tune right off HP tuners site if thats the tune you want to go with. The only other thing to do is buy the stage1 to 2 upgrade kit and use the VCI number for the tune .....then sell the parts.
