Just to share my experience now...I just got back from where I bought my car and tried to order stage 2. I gave him all 3 part numbers and stage 1 is available and can be purchased just like any other part and it's the same way for stage 1 to 2 BUT stage 2 still says ship direct. He was as baffled as I was about how can 2 parts which when put together equal stage 2 could be available but not the actual stage 2 is. So he contacted GMPP right then and sound all shocked and said proceded to do some more mmmm hmmmms as I axiously waited for him to get off. When he finally did , he says here's the deal stage 2 IS available but the order has to be called in. GM is doing some kind of trial with the stage 2 and only a very limited quantity will be made initially. They are doing a pre-order so to speak and when they reach whatever they will initially plan to sell, they will ship them out. He guessed it was some test to determine it's popularity to help them determine how many to make on a regular basis. He also said nationwide, there are only 10 orders for stage 2 actually in. I told him about cobaltss.net and about the stage kits popularity and said there's got to be way more orders than that but he said definately it was 10 orders NATIONWIDE. Either way I'm #11 now,(in Peter Griffin's voice) and now we play the waiting game...

No offense but i wouldn't put too much trust in what some guy from GMPP tells a guy in your parts department. Im not saying that you are lying just that i would take the info about how many have been ordered and such with a grain of salt.

My dealer just called me and said he called GM and they told him that they weren't available yet and didn't know when they would become available. So i told him to look up the part, and order it even if it does say it will be put on backorder. Whats the deal? How come everyone is getting all these responses and i can't get crap.

Stage 1 required to get the cal

I just checked with my source and the only way to get the GM cal is to buy the Stage 1 kit. It comes with a cal and injectors.

Anyone try a dealership in the macomb area or oakland area that knows about the kits and can order stage 2 ? I told him that I could order stage 2 online for around $650 and wondered if he could come down from the $750 he said NO.

You could be confusing the 2 thing possible?? Cause the kit will probably be under warrenty but if you blow the engine then it could be a problem.

There are no internals in the kit.

By me telling my dealer to order the stage 2 kit, even though it was telling him that it wasn't available and it would be immediatley backordered, will the order be processed and the kit shipped, or am i wasting my time and he needs to do something else??? I don't want to be waiting for the kit when it's not even ordered, if you know what i meen.

I didn't say there was.... I said if you have a problem with you motor due to the kit.. They will not warrenty the motor problems... Just like if you install a alarm and you have electronic problems.. When they investigate the problem to see what caused it... They will determine if the alarm was the reason why you have problems... Same goes for the motor and suspension..

If you ask me, I don't think the kit is worth it if you loose a motor warrenty.. Cause it can get really expensive.. I am sure nothing will happen. but if it does..

You dealership contact didnt know what he was talking about IMO.(not unheard of)
This is a GM kit, designed by GM to be 100% compatible with your Balt and designed to 100% maintain your warranty, provided it's installed exactly as the instructions state, prefererably by a GM dealer techncian. After that the only thing that can void your engine warranty is improper maintenance, user abuse, or competing in any form of competition (sanctioned or otherwise)
