At my shop, I have kept my parts guy up to date on these kits with info from this forum and was able to confirm wether or not anything was bs.
Any dealership that is just looking up the #'s in the computer won't find them yet. They will need to make phone calls to the proper contacts and go the extra step.
We were told that there was "no stock aval." on stage 2, we made a few calls and were told the samething someone else posted, Shipping Direct from supplier.
Oh, yes you can have any part "Overnighted" if you wish. I missed the deadline while checking on the avail. of stage 2.
Yes thats what is was, a spac case I couldn't remember that to save my life. What the hell is a spac case? Does that mean mine will arrive later or something?

Spac is an acronym for something, what, I don't know. It does mean this; when a part is ordered that is not available at the present time, (out of stock, back-ordered or for whatever reason), a case is filed in the system, so that when the part does become available, it will be shipped to those orders first. With a "spac case #", you can also call to find out the latest information on the availability of the part, (part will be avail. on 5/01/06), as an example.
So to answer your question, if you ordered stage 2, it will be shipped on that day or the next. Just will depend on how long the shipping takes, within 5 days is the norm., to when you get it. Should be this coming week.

The dealership will have to contact GM Performance, directly, that is what we did. Also, It may make a difference, but not sure, the Dealer may need to be a certified "GM Performance Dealer", in order to get the proper info.

stage 1 and 2 questions

I know there have probably been a lot of questions about this already, but I'm new and I need to know. What do they consist of? How much? Does the dealer install them? and, Does it void the warranty and or is it covered by warranty? Any help will be appreciated.

Prepare to get flamed for not doing a search.

Stage 1 is injectors and a reflash.

Stage 2 is Stage 1 plus a 3" modular S/C pulley, and smaller belt.

Dealers install them, and the warranty is intact if installed by a certified mechanic.

Rodimus Prime, yes you can go to the dealer and order. Once it comes in, you can put it on have them reflash the ECU, or they can do it all for you. By the way welcome from another prior j-body.org member.

So... I ordered my Stage 2 and was wondering how the install would go. I'm sure no one knows yet but my main concern is the supercharger pulley. All we need to do is get a supercharger pulley puller just like the others?

I understand. It would take you almost a week to weed through all the threads regarding Stage kits. Not to mention the countless pages to each thread.

Yeah at which point once you enter your SPAC case and you want to move up you can go to SWAT but in the cases of these its a bit different

Kit Warranty from GM

Same goes for the motor and suspension..

If you ask me, I don't think the kit is worth it if you loose a motor warrenty.. Cause it can get really expensive.. I am sure nothing will happen. but if it does..
I checked with the Guy I know at GM and he said all the warranty still applys. If you have a brand new car then the warranty, engine and all, is still covered with the GM kits.

Mine is in the shop right now getting installed. Takes an hour and a half since they have to take the supercharger off. Reflash takes a little bit too.
