finally looks like some legit good news

 

As it has been stated before, these orders work when phoned in by the parts people. When my parts guy looked up the number it said no stock. I had him look up stage1 and stage1-2 and it said stock only at the distributor, so he called. He placed my order on the phone and said that was how it had to be done(at least in Canada)

it all depends on the parts dept and their knowledge of doing these orders, honestly if your dealer is clueless, you are better off going to a dealer that is not like Crate Engine or NJBlue....

 

Once you've made an order with your parts department, is there a way to check on the status of the order? Mine was ordered and I just paid it off today. Just wondering if I could find it's status out.

Is there a part number available yet for the smaller supercharger pulley belts?? and a definate size on how much smaller the supercharger pulley is??

The parts are available as of wed 4/5 for stage 2. stage 1 in stock now. to answer some of your questions #1...if the dealer has not added the part and you call it will show not in stock as this is a brand new part. many new parts guys will just look up the number and think it is not out yet or wrong. in a previous post i gave the part numbers and even the page in the gm parts guide 2006. 2....there is no real way of tracking the part thought as it is shipped dealer direct, the dealer can see if it has left and is on its way but it all depends on the shipping co. think 5-10 days as resonable unless you overnight it. and as someone mentioned it all depends on the dealer ie: is the parts guy new or does your dealer have knowledge of gm performance parts.

 

The parts dept. can but a spac case out on any part ordered. When that is done they are able to track the part down. You can find out if the order was recieved, submitted and shipped out. From that point a tracking # will appear from the shipper; Fed Ex, and will confirm the part is in route and give an ETA to the destination. At my shop, I have kept my parts guy up to date on these kits with info from this forum and was able to confirm wether or not anything was bs.
Any dealership that is just looking up the #'s in the computer won't find them yet. They will need to make phone calls to the proper contacts and go the extra step.
We were told that there was "no stock aval." on stage 2, we made a few calls and were told the samething someone else posted, Shipping Direct from supplier.
Oh, yes you can have any part "Overnighted" if you wish. I missed the deadline while checking on the avail. of stage 2.

Mine is already on its way, how else would I have gotten a tracking # from Fed Ex, did I miss something? ETA from them is 4/3/ 06. I will see when it arrives, hell I've waited this long, what's another day or so?

 

Man this make-im no sense. I just called Turnersville Chevrolet on Rt 42. The guy had a listing for the part, but it said ship direct, no stock available. He said it didn't list any number to call to order it either.

So my question is, NJBLUESS, do you know where to call to get it ordered? Isn't that how you guys did it?

 

The dealers will not stock this.. Hence Direct Ship. When order is placed it is shipped from a 3rd party or the company who makes the kits



So what will be the difference ordering it from CED or your dealer? if it still takes like 5-7 days... unless u are able to negotiate with price with your dealer

And people who have ordered it from CED what do they charge for shipping?


And this is stupid but might as well ask... but does anyone have a GM card? can we use our earnings on Accessories or parts? just thought i'd ask

 

put it to you this way, the parts are coming from a company in Michigan, since CED is not too far away ups zones show it as 1-2 days travel, I would suspect that if you order a kit from them Monday, then By wed/thurs it should hit CED and then out it goes if you are local, if it ships direct figure out what typical shipping from Michigan to you is and you will have your answer!

 

Well since i'm in buffalo, michigan is not too far away.. maybe about 6hr drive.. Thats obviously driving through canada to get to michigan..lol

 

If thats the case I will have mine pretty soon. I ordered Thursday and live in the 1 day area on UPS's map............
