Good source for forged pistons std bore

Thinking of popping a set of good pistons in and a Cometec HG/ and head studs. What's the hot setup?I'll be doing the twin screw eventually so probably stay with stock compression ratio.Does anyone make a set of drop in pistons that do not require a rebalance?Should I spring for the Hiflow head while I'm at it?Whose is best? Thanks!

Go with the Cometic Headgasket and Golden Eagle Headstuds. That's what I rock and the car loves it! As for the pistons, Diamond makes some nice forged ones with the stock compression ratio and bore.

What do you think about the Hiflow Rebel cyl. head?Worth the dough?Or just "spring" for some better springs in the stocker?

Which sponsor to use for the pistons/rings/gaskets/head studs?

IMO, the head and intake manifold are our two biggest restrictions. Getting a P&P head is a pretty good idea if you want efficient power.

What is a good source for intakes or do you have the stock one ported/extrude honed?

I believe rebel is making a better flowing intake manifold. I dont believe anyone else has made one.

Also, Diamond Racing pistons are pretty nice. They also have great pricing. $375 for pistons. $100 for rings.

I think at both Rebel and JBP, you have to send in your stock head to be ported and polished.

You can call anyone and have them custom made. Want a set of 8:1 SRp's? I have them sitting in my closet.

I contacted Cometic directly for my headgasket and they had it made on the spot and sitting on my doorstep in 3 days! I ordered the headstuds from here:

I would call Diamond directly for the pistons as well. For the head, your guess is as good as mine at this point.
