Exclamation Half tank or less! FML

On ramps in particular are the worst, for instance if i have a half a tank of gas or less and i full throttle the car sputters to the point where it feels like fuel cut (3-5k rpm) at first i thought maybe my fuel gauge is wrong and the fuel was sloshing to the opposite side that the pickup was on... not the case because it does it when going straight as well. i have re-gapped the spark plugs, i do have a custom tune but it just recently started doing it so i dont think its the tune. i suppose it could be a fuel filter but i dont see why it would act up at just under half a tank :/ any suggestions??????? its getting rediculous!
FYI-replaced/cleaned MAF sensor not too long ago(idk if that could be it either, i have an extra new one that i could try if that could be it) There are no check engine light or codes present, I even try and make a CEL appear so i can have a place to start but nothing.

Does it only do it when you hit boost? Could potentially be your fuel pump going out. When mine went, I had similar issues and it got progressively worse fast. To the point where if I got close to leaving vacuum it would cut out terribly.

I ended up just dropping the tank and throwing in a GSS342...

FP is an easy job. I did it by myself in a driveway w/ ramps and jack stands.

If you could get a friend, or even better a lift, you could put a new pump in under two hours taking your time...

i have a lift and stands for the tank but i am trying to sell the car ASAP cuz i want a bike and dont want to throw a ton of money into the thing anymore... i will look into a good pump for a cheap price. Do i have to do anything with electrical if i get a Walbarro or any High flow pump or will the ECU pull the same amount of fuel since that is what its tuned too?

The newer GSS342 plugs right in, you'll just have to dremel a little bit of the canister to make room for the electrical connection. That pump is cheap as can be. You can get it from most places for under $100...

I would recommend buying from a vendor on here to make sure it'll plug right in. No other vender will know.

Let me know if you have any issues. I had the tank down and back up twice in one week, so I'm pretty experienced w/ it at this point. I might even have some pictures if you need em...

Dude, it's really nothing. It's about 1/8-1/4" of material to make room for the electrical harness connection to the pump. People make it out to be this huge deal. It really isn't...

Sounds identical to my situation I had. New FP solved the issue, so hopefully you will have the same outcome. Be sure to post up questions if you get stumped...

new fuel pump in! problem solved had a couple issues along the entire install though... number one, wish OTTP would have mentioned that the connectors were different and gave the option or included them instead of having to rig up my own (not a problem, just a convienence issue). number two, getting the retaining ring off the top of the fuel pump assembly i broke one of the two plastic fuel line fittings haha stupid mistake, so i went out and got a vacuum line connector and shoved it in the fuel pump assembly side all the way and then in the fuel line side (fits realll snug), of course this is a temporary fix until i get the money for a new assembly. Lastly, with the woven filter on the walbro the whole assembly that locks into the canister doesnt fully sit down and lock in on both sides, so i filed that a little bit and were good to go. car actually feels like a new car, im starting to think the fuel pump was bad from when i bought the damn thing a year ago hahaha.
