Has this happen to you?

So not to long ago i purchased the injen CAI that i love and i recommend to every one. anyway.... after in stalling it about a week passed by and i open my hood and right where the injen logo is is a huge dent/scratch from the thing that holds our hood up. i was wondering if anyone else had this clearance issue?

i got a dent from the pcm heatsink... odd...

I guess if its not perfect it will do that...

I dont think they would release a product that did that EVERYTIME...

Best thing is to take it compeltely off and restart... thats fixed my problem like that on my older car.

I also got some dents from the heat sinks, its from flex when I gas it hard.... I would recommend the same thing, re-install and see if it presists. Unless another Injen other can give some input. Do some minor tweaking to the mounting equipment to give it another position, if possible... If its not putting a hole in it or damaging where its going to affect the performance I wouldnt worry about it.

the injen intake dont really have great fitment. pretty much anyway you put it, its still gonna rub. your best best is to dremel off a portion of the bracket on the hood so you have proper clearence

I have this issue too, iI raised hood using the turny thing at the front but then the hood looked stupid so i lowered and just let it rub. Im on my 3rd Injen CAI btw each one rubbed and all in different places lol.

You should just use the rubberizer in a can stuff they sell...that should stop the problem.
