help me decide LOL

I know the decision may sound silly but i have a 2006 ss s/c (week old)
I Do NOT want a cel ( i live in canada so it gets cold lol)
I do want more whine from the blower
I do not abuse the car so overall performance is not a huge priority to me.

I am undecided between an INJEN intake and a GM Stage 2 kit

I know the prices difference is huge , so besides the price decision, what should i buy.

thanks in advance

GM Stage 2 kit will not give you a lot more noticable whine, if you really desire that and no CEL than the injen is the way to go.

Well a CAI will make you whine much louder but requires maintenance (cleaning filter). I live in Canada also and decided to keep my stock air intake and purchase the stage 2 instead. Its up to you. Its good on gas and the car feels like it runs alot better with the tune.

Cheapest way to get more whine and not have to worry about CEL, performance, price, etc...just drop in a KN filter. 40 bucks, no real difference in performance, but I can hear that nice whine from 2.5k all the way to redline.

So how good does the whine sound? Anywhere close to a CAI? Anything causing a CEL to come on voids the warranty.. Correct? **** if a filter will make it sound better.. Do you think they'd have one at Auto Zone?

I highly doubt it, but I got mine here http://www.autoanything.com/air-filt...0A2079353.aspx. You being in the Midwest, figure about 5 days for delivery...I got mine overnight, but I'm in AZ and they ship from Cali. (maybe more than one whse though...who knows)

I don't know how the whine compares to a CAI, I haven't heard anyone running one yet. But it's defintiely much more noticable then plain stock. If you get it and don't like it, hey it's not like you wasted a bunch of money on it.

Just buy them both,If you have the money to get the stage 2 kit then the CAI isnt alot of money to you.I dont the see the problem with getting both to make the car that much better. Its not a constant whine and you have to get on the throttle to notice it even with a CAI.Its not beating on the car its using it how the manufacturer meant it to be driven.

If you're gonna drop the bucks on the stage 2, get the injen as well. Looks great, sounds great, feels great, and no CEL's.

Personally, I would stick with GM parts unless the warranty on the aftermarket parts is outstanding. You might be saving some money but you may also be getting a cheaper quality part. That's not to say they won't work, but thay may not last.

You may be able to get a discount on the Stage kit from your local GM dealer if you negotiate and have them do the install. I spoke to my local dealer today and they said they would sell me the kit at cost.

Ordering mine on Monday. Did they give you an estimate on how long it would take to get it?
