HELP... need help with case relearn
So umm yeah what the ****. I need a question answered. just replaced crankshaft positioning sensor need to do a crank relearn... hpt states "not ready ect to low" cant get her to stay running.
thats odd you should just be able to plug it in and go, mabey try reflashing you current tune and see if that helps
The car died then tried to restart drove about a block and died again... had a 0335 and 0336..
So i replace the sensor, it tries to start but it states that you should do a Crank relearn. and thats where i am... i need it to start again...
I have fuel, spark and no other issues

The thing is to do the case learn from what I have read is that the car needs to be running in order to get up to tempature and then be donel..... I need to figure out a way to get these sensors to sync up
theres only one code i am getting at the moment. p0335... before it was p0335 and p0336.
The car will start eventually when it wants to and it runs fine while doing so.
it just when it wants to start is the question
"The ignition module receives a signal from the sensor which tells it when to fire number one cylinder. From then on the ignition module takes over and follows the firing order. With no signal from the crank position sensor the ignition module won't generate a spark. Ralph went to the auto supply store and bought one"

Have you tried uninstalling it and re installing it? Made sure all the pins have a great connection? I know it sounds stupid but when I was having trouble starting my car I noticed the car was not seeing RPM at crank, as shown in a log from HPT, this made me point (with a little help) to the crank sensor. I bought a new one and installed it. I buttoned everything back up and went to start it again. Nothing... No RPM still. So I took the sensor out and reinstalled it and messed with the wires a little. After that I tried starting it and it was showing RPM with the crank and started.
So when it is not starting is the system seeing RPM?
Also just because you bought a new sensor doesnt mean the sensor is in good working order.
