Exclamation High flow intake manifold***picking off where rebel stopped**

Well I contacted Vulcan turbo, showed them the thread, the CAD images, and they ate willing to do the job. They will need a intake manifold to make this happend, i'm sure they'll post here in a bit. That being said, only thing stopping this from happening is a manifold.

Come on css, let's get this finally made.

Edit: adding details

-u will get ur manifold back, just need it to get dimensions and to make sure everything lines up right
-the new manifold will be designed from scratch
-will maintain water/air cooling but won't use the laminova cores but rather a cooler like rebel had looked into using

If anyone has a manifold to contribute for this, lemme knowand I'll get u the shipping address

Ok so change of plans, Vulcan turbo won't be modifying a stock manifold, they will make one from scratch. They need the stock one for dimensions and to make sure it all fits...and no you won't get one for free :p but willing to offer a discount to anyone who can lend us ur manifold for a bit, u'll get it back when we're done

I have 3 stock 2.2 intake manis...they can have one for shipping and for me to test out the new one

keep it haha

of course i know it wont be free, but hey, discounts for parts and/or testing arent usually too shabby

or if they are willing to wait for me to get paid and dont want to pay for shipping...i can ship then

and btw..just for the record....

I have an extra used one I bought when Rebel was going to do this that I'd donate to the project. I need some incentive to pay for shipping though since I'm turbo now and have no need for it.

Vulcan is serious about this, they made one for the turbo 2.2/2.4's now they are making one for the lsj. They are not afraid and are not asking for 2grand to start, not asking for deposits, just a stock manifold to work off of

i'm already working on getting the cavy OBX intake manifold to fit the cobalt 2.2's

I bought the intake manifold flange from GM and then bought the OBX cavy IM. I left those and a stock IM w/ a shop before i left. They are cutting the welds on the cavy OBX IM and welding on the cobalt flange. Then they are moding the brake booster and what not to fit the cobalt brake booster.

do you have any other views of it lol, cuase seriously..it looks like crap...to have air go in and then 180deg back out to the runners...flow=horrible..
maybe for boost as your packing in the air and not trying to suck it it...but still....

I dont know what the effects would be for N/A's would have to test it out. I'd be more then glad to ship it out to you to test out and let me know how it goes. But would have to wait till i get back from deployment.

Bolus,

You have CF body panels? I thought you were BRG ...

Back on topic, ... I want to see this project done, I can cover your shipping if that helps
