No I didn't, had new gaskets and used sealant on the v-band. i think its partially from it being catless and partially from the header having thiner primary walls compared to the stock mani
i wish i could have gotten some fly bys before i changed it back to stock

only vid i can find. said mods form description: 241 wheel HP, 220 wheel torque, through an LSD trans. Mods are ZZP 3" Catted down pipe, modded air box, 2.8 pulley, 60lb injectors, ZZP Stage 1 heat exchanger. Stock cat-back, stock intake tube. It was dynoed in 96 degree heat in 90% humidity by Jeff Creech at Carolina Auto Masters in Durham, NC. Had it been a cooler day, the numbers would be a good bit higher, but overall I am very pleased
i guess it does sound kinda like stock

You are going to hear rasp no matter what you put on your car, unless you go back to complete stock. Its the price that is paid for modding your car. Even if you get a catted DP from ZZP, that cat is less restrictive then the stock cat. It's going to be a little louder and will probably create rasp. You were talking about going TVS, so I would probably just get used to your exhaust being a little louder, especially if you want to get the max potential out of your motor.

On any set-up you will eventually get rasp. It may not be right away, but it will develop. I have a little rasp at high RPM's but other then that its just a drone sound. I DD mine too, but you eventually get used to it. And I'd rather have my car faster then the next, then care about some rasp at high RPM's. But then again I have a 01 WS6 so I get my muscle and good sound from that lmao

Its is a nice setup.
John Powell had a pretty good idea on how to improve it just a little more. Cut off the 2" inlet to the resonator and cut back the resonator until it is 2.5". Then weld in a new 2.5" flange.
I think it would make just enough of a difference to make it worth the effort.

That stock muffler has over 130k on it.

The Corsa resonator does a very nice job cancelling out rasp and drone.

To all the people who want to hack up the stock exhaust and add a hi flow muffler, and 2.5" over axle section, make sure you upgrade the resonator as well.
I measured the inlet at 2 1/16" when I removed my stock catback.

Max boost went from 22psi on the stock cat-back to 21psi on the ZZP 2.5". Boost is a measure of restriction. So yes the ZZP 2.5" is less restrictive which should provide gains.
Yeah that inlet is tiny! But it matches the outlet of the stock DP. So GM did it for a reason.
This is the restricitve part in the stock exhaust that people tend to forget about....
