Alright guys I have a 2.4 and i posted this in the forced induction section but got nothing maybe u guys can help me out. The question is, i have the alpine turbo kit with the garrett turbo. I was wondering how much psi can i push safetly and what is an estimated horsepower it will give me cause I am going to get it put on and then tuned with hp next summer when my warranty runs out.

work in small increments i would say no more than 8 psi somewhere around 240 or more until you get internals

 

you didnt get a response because boost is new enough to the 2.4 that most people would be lying if they said they had the answer. there's only a couple boosted 2.4's at this point and its recent enough that they probably havent played and blown up yet to tell you. if you are interested in boosted 2.4's, check out www. hahnracecraft.com. i venture to say that no one has experimented more with turbos on the 2.4 than them. their most extensive development is on the 2.4 solstice but it's the exact same motor as the cobalt. check out their staged kits and history on the solstice and i believe thats the best answer you're gonna get at this point.
