How much can you add before a tune is needed

I know there are a few things you can add before you have to tune your car but where exactly is the line drawn where you go from driving a dependable car to your car running like **** because you've added too many things and now you need a tune

u can add pretty much any basic bolt on without a tune but swaping different injectors or going to a smaller pulley u cant without a tune.

I know you can add some bolt ons but i wasn't sure to what extent. Like a DP, exhaust, and header i wouldn't necessarily need a tune right away but to unlock all its potential id need a tune

Intake and full exhaust you won't need to touch the tune at all. Like Vander said the only time you need to tune is when you change pully size or injector.

intake requires a tune. your maf is calibrated to your stock intake. when you place a after market intake the computer miss calculates and you can run lean. a good tune will make your car run so much better. you will not be disappointed.

my build is in sections getting the bolt ons first and putting them on then after i replinish the funds i can go on to other things as far as my search skills im aware there is a search feature here however google + css.net yields better results because i dont have to go through 100 threads of bs because the search on here found keywords in those threads

That is not true.

It can also run way rich to compensate for the extra airflow.

This all depends on how much injector u have.

basically...

any cooling mod. option b, heat exchanger, dual pass, phelonic spacer...

ur car can handle an intake and a header/dp, maybe a full exhaust. u will probably throw a semi meaningless code like 'catalytic converter deficiancy' but all that could do is make u fail emmissions and can get tuned out...

otherwise without getting tuned its a great time to prep ur car for more power in other ways; brakes, suspension, drivetrain...

Touche sir Ive been reading alot of stuff on the 2.0 just wanted to start a thread to talk about it rather than going through and reading some of these "car" related threads. Lately seems the sites more of a social place rather than a car forum.

You done anything to your car recently read one of your threads a couple of weeks back was just wondering
