Alright i have an OTTP long tube header i'm putting on in the spring and still deciding on what to do with exhaust. I plan on going 3" when i go TVS. Not sure when that will be yet but decided to wait on the baller exhaust until i do. So i'm going to just get CTI's 2.5" over axel piece to get rid of the bottle neck part but undecided on whether to ditch the stock muffler or not. I don't care about sound. The quieter the better. But wondering is the stock muffler overly restrictive? Will i see an actual performance gain changing mufflers? If not i'm just going to keep my stocker. If so then i was thinking Dynomax super turbo muffler.

 

I wouldn't do the over the axle upgrade if you're planning on running the stock muffler since the OEM muffler has a 2.25 inlet/outlet. If you do a higher flowing muffler and the over the axle pipe, you should see a few HP. Mine got louder, thats about it.

 

well i went 110 in the 1/4 mile with the stock catback and muff and a tvs untued

 

I have the cti 2.5 inch piping along with the dynomax super turbo muffler and it sounds really good not loud at all and just a shade louder then stock. I could also feel a difference in hp once those two mods were installed. I also have a clearimage 4-1 header and 2.5 inch downpipe with highflow cat.

 

You need to let that thing breathe haha
