I have searched, need opinion

I have been looking for a while now and I cannot find anything pertaining to my exact questions so I could use some help.

I am thinking about going with a 42# injectors, 3.1" pulley, K&N CAI, and a 3" downpipe.

HOWEVER, I would love to run a 2.9" pulley. Would this be fine to run? Or am I missing anything?

I was concerned about heat I guess. I have read through a lot of threads and it seems to be common to use a Heat Exchanger but something that may not be needed.

I personally think you will be fine.

With the GM2, CAI,ZZP GM 2.9 my temps where really good and below the 110 mark after doing pulls. Progressed to the GM3+Trifecta options still on the 2.9 and temps where still good after track runs and cruising on the street.

Got BYT Tuned with the GM3, zzp 3 catless dp, zzp gm 2.9 pulley, injen cai and temps where still not over 120 after pulls. Pulled out a 253hp/223tq and 13.4@104.1 at the track on street tires.

Next week i wanted more and went 2.8. Noticed instantly temps where starting to get around the 130-140 range. Instantly put on a zzp s3 h/e and zzp f/r trans mounts, 60's and got retuned by BYT again. Temps stayed around 50-70 cruising and below the 110 mark when doing pulls. Was amazed at how quickly the zzp s3 helped recover temps. Recently put on the badmab header and megan catbatback.

Hope this helps

This does. I am going to add things up because I may just say screw it and go S3 right now along with the DP and CAI. After all it will only keep my car cooler and I will get more bang for my buck

I will be getting my parts all from ZZP. Right now I am stock but I just got my tax money back

If you want to reduce pulley for extra heat generated, you should start seeing extra cooling mods like heat exchanger, dual pass end plate or even methanol injection system.

You did not search!

If you typed 2.9 & 42lb/hr injectors in the search feature you would see that a **** load of threads pertaing to this beaten to death question will come up. This has been discussed since stage kits first came out for these cars years ago. Please work harder at your research before making a thread like this. I'm not trying to be a dick, but seeing the same thing asked daily on this site starts to get annoying.

Another reason I recommend doing your research is because a good portion of the kiddies on this site know next to nothing about these cars, and just regurgitate what they hear from other uneducated members. Its best to read about what has been done to these cars back in the day, and learn what works and what doesnt instead of someone giving you their opinions over facts.
