I iz newbee

Yesterday I changed the plugs in my car and replaced the vacuum hoses!! Today met up with my friend to ride around and lost all power like the supercharger was blown or worse!! Had some white smoke coming from the exhaust. When I got home I puller her in the garage and low and behold I put the vacuum hoses in the wrong spot to the actuator. I had the bottom on the top and vise vs. It ran like crap!!
My question to the experienced did I do any damage to anything? I have been having a miss and thats why I did the plug change. Miss is still there somewhat and it seems like the car is being held back somewhat. Maybe cat is clogged? Thanks

You're not gonna know until you take it apart. White smoke isn't a good sign though.

It shouldn't have done any damage, but if you're seeing white smoke (before and after you switched hoses) then you probably have a far worse problem.

Well today on my way home from work on the interstate when the care was under load it didnt seem like it had much power and was hunching when i was in boost.. came home and re gapped my plugs and wow it woke the car up Now if it will just continue to run like this!! One more question the car ran fine until i did a brake job and the airbox mod.. could the air box mod foul or hurt my plugs? Thanks again guys this forum rocks!

So today I have that same problem again. Last night after gaping the plugs she felt great.. Today the problem is back.. It seems to run fine until i go into boost at which point it seems to fall on its face. It feels as if something is holding the car back and sometimes hunches a little!! I need help guys, I am starting to lose sleep over this... thanks again. I did not have these problems until I did the air box mod and change the front rotors and brakes on the car... When me and my friend did the bled the brakes the car tried to die is this normal? I still have a leaky caliper also that is letting some air in the lines.. any help would be great!!!

From what I am reading could the airbox mod be throwing my fuel trims really far out of whack? Should I just put the stock box back on and if so will it self correct the fuel trims? Thanks guys

It will mess with your trims slightly, but nothing to cause the issues you are experiencing. The LSJ's MAF sensor is no where near as picky as the LNF's.

Ever since the SS/TC's came out that's all I hear about anymore.... fuel trims, fuel trims, fuel trims.

Your trims are prob slightly positive due to the increased airflow from the airbox mod, but you should be fine. Like others have said, try regapping your plugs & check your oil.
