Yes I searched and all the 2.5" and 3" battle bullshit deals with catbacks and I am talking down pipes here. I know alot of people say dont go with 3" if u dont plan on 300WHP. But I just want to make sure. I currently have S2, 2.9, Airbox mod, and GMPP sport cat-back. Before I order my header and DP I want to make sure that I wont regret going with a 2.5" dp.

That's a catback not a DP. You want a 3" dp like ZZP's

Wouldnt I want to keep my exhaust diameters close in size? 3" DP into 2.25 cat back is better than 2.5" dp into 2.25 catback?

The stock downpipe is 2" at the stock exhaust manifold. 99% of guys on the forum as well as myself run or have ran the 3" downpipe with a 2.5" exhaust connection. I don't understand why everyone is so scared of a 3" pipe. BTW.. You should run a 3" catback if you have 300 crank horsepower.. Not wheel. 268whp = 300 Crank Horsepower

I have the ZZP 3" to 2.5" downpipe! So it mates back up with the stock exhaust flanges! And I love it... I think I **** the cat though but other than that it has been great!

Not a problem 07. I think guys fear the 3" pipe because no one has detailed proof of a 3" on our cars. You'd rather be too large then too small.

You have a 2.9" Pulley so the 3" downpipe and even a 2.5" catback will suit you well.

Area47 has a COMPLETE 3" system on his car. And he's a 280/265 car!

Yeppers.... I'm about pushing that 300 crank HP limit! I might need to think about jumping to 3" piping!

I have the Vibrant 4-2-1 (3") but I won't go with a 3" cat-back.

Most of the guys I've talked to in DSLSJA and on other forums don't like the 3" for one reason. It's incredibly loud.

If you don't mind Loud, go with the 3" cat-back.

But for the header and dp, I'd definitely go with the 3"

Thanks! I already have the GMPP cat-back, but it might be time for a upgrade due to the piping being 2.25"
