IC pump?
So I been told that the IC pump is known for going bad and with the miles on my SS/SC (108000) that I should check and make sure it's still working. So my question is how do you tell that its running. With the car running. I pulled the cap off to see if coolant was flowing threw the tubes and nothing. I also put my hand on the pump to see if it felt like it was running and nothing. I also opened the bleeder on the IC to see if the pump will push fluid out and still nothing. So my guess is the pump is not working. Can any one give me any info on how the pump works. Is it supposed to run all the time or shut on and off.

Pump will run when the car is running.
You could try hitting the pump with a hammer and see if it starts.
2 things you could do either open pump up and clean the brushes out (my buddy did this and his is still working for a while now) or buy a new pump.
When pump is running coolant will flow in the fill tube.

You are still going to want to at least pull it apart to clean it out or replace it. If you had to hit it to make it run, it's bound to quit again and when it's this hot you don't want that happening. That's why your car has felt sluggish, your IAT2's have probably been sky high in this heat.

unless your savvy about it would just go ahead and replace the pump, 100$ from ZZP gets you one. a bosch one, probably less at a general parts store. you also run the risk of F****** your pump up and needing it replaced anyways.
