I think that 2K5SS has been taking a lot of crap here that he doesn't deserve. I commend him for the work he has put in so far and the work he still has to do. I'm sure it hasn't been easy for him to get on here and post his problems and frustrations, exposing himself to any fool who wants to take a shot at him. The only mistake I think he made was starting this whole thead too soon. Any thread here goes to hell after a while and this one did pretty fast.

I still believe in this swap and that it will be a big improvement over the eaton. I still believe that Rebel has put together a nice kit, the machined parts look fantastic and well thought out.

I just can't wait to see the numbers maybe 3 weeks from now when it has been really sorted out and finalized.

Nuts!!
All cobalts tune the same. Ive used the same tune off my redline (when it was s/ced) on 8 different cars now with the same results at the track and all had identical afr's on the dyno within .4 af points. If they were so radically different GM wouldnt be able to mass produce em and hpt woulldnt have supported em if they had to crack each version.

Canned tunes do work assuming you have the same intake design and piping diameter at the maf. Thats why intense specifies stock airbox assembly only in their tunes. Its the constant they used for tuning.

I would like to put out that the 275whp was on a mustang dyno, not a dynojet. You shouldn't be comparing the dyno from two different shops against each other, but you damn well shouldn't be comparing 2K5SS's 275whp on a mustang to an eaton/2.7" pulley on a dynojet.

X19004823984124....... I cant believe people are still bashing those numbers....

Also keep in mind, his old set up with his 2.6 made 230 something on this SAME DYNO!!

His old set up made 230 on this dyno
Others 2.6 set up's make around 270-290+ right??
now he made 272whp??
You guys do the math...... You would have to be an idiot to not realize that those were still pretty good numbers for THIS dyno....and they were having probs with tuning and the meth, so there is still probally lots more power to be made......

Also Rebel has a smaller pulley that will fit on the hub......

Hell let's just run the belt straight on the shaft until we break 300whp.

Someone did the calculations way back in pages. I believe at engine RL it is in fact being overspun already. I don't feel like looking.

What's there to be jealous of? He can't get the kit to work right. It's more pity then jealousy.

Im sure the guy has a life and cant spend ALL of his time on tuning this, sorry but you people are the only jackass here who would shoot somebody down for not having something done "right away" or when you want it to be done. Im sure you would be running into the same exact problem he is running into if were basically a "test" vehicle for a brand new product, so if you dont have anything productive to say, then just dont say it at all.

Lol, I bet he can't even trap 105 in the 1/4. Jealous of what? 2.5/2.6 pullied cars have more than this.

Wait one second i need to get something first........

Ok now start making excuses for him.

Edit : If i had bought the kit i would have actually paid someone who knows how to tune to get it right. Not wasted time doing something i would have no business trying.. ie tuning.

**** I only trap 105 and stil run a faster ET than 95% of the people on here... trap speed really just means you can't get off theline, or the car isn;t running right in the low rpms..

anyway, this bitchery is still going on? just leave it alone til it's finished, then we can talk more ****.

stop with the name calling, all we did was point out obvious problems that should have been handled before the company is asking people to sign up for a group buy or ship kits to customers.

I managed to get my 13.4 w/ a 108 trap. Guess that means I should actually be low 13s

Alright this **** talking is really starting to **** me off! Let's get the facts straight here first before the bitching continues!

1. I am test car #2 for the kit

2. The reason I am test car #2 is because test car #1 didn't have a strong enough clutch to handle the power.

3. I am working directly with Jim and Mase on this project to perfect everything before the final kits get sent out so people don't have to go through what I am going through. I am putting my own time and money into this project without actually receiving any incentives other than getting my prototype kit sent early to me. WTF are you guys doing for the community's progression in this matter?

4. I used to run a 2.6" pulley setup that was self tuned and could probably blow the freaking doors off most peoples car's who are talking smack here. So I do know where the car is in comparison to the 2.5"/2.6" pullied setups. I have several people that can verify this too.

5. I am not a professional tuner by any means. These experiences over the past couple of weeks has significantly improved my knowledge and tuning abilities however. With that said, I believe a little damn courtesy with "how easy it is to tune the car," especially when you haven't even had your hands on my setup, should be given here.

6. My personal vow is to prove how effective this kit actually is, and to not allow a shitty product that I don't approve of to hit the market.

I will be back home next Saturday to fix all my issues. I'll try and hit the dyno again later on that week, and after I get done tuning my buddies 2.8" setup with 60lb injectors, maybe we can post a video to see the difference.

Hey man, it sucks knowing that everytime somebody tries something new you get more negative that positive feedback doesn't it? It's great that you are doing this, truly. I hope for the absolute best outcome for ya man! I know Mase and he will definitely stand by his product. Can't wait until this thing is tuned!!

Well...some of us like what you are doing, and you are a great part of the ss.net community.... I hope that you can get everything working good so you can prove to these guys how great of a kit it really is....

Someone has to do it somewhere down the road, thanks for being so determined to get this done right. Can't wait to see results. And if they need another person to vouch for you, Im right here in West Ashley, wouldn't be a long trip to meet up .

I appreciate the people with open and supportive minds on here like you gentlemen. It just seems like the negative context on this site is horrible lately. This is the main reason why I rarely post any developments or mods I do to my car. I can now see why the guy in Florida with the 1.33L twinscrew on his car never posted a damn thing about it and just loves smoking everyone with it.
