That looks very nice Taylor! Can you take a pic of the bracket without the fuse box in? I need to do something like this. I bought the carbon fiber trunk off Jason when he was trying to part it out so thats why there was no trunk haha. Also, does your cold side go to the passenger side or driver side of the intercooler? Im curious how they routed these pipes.

 

Thanks Richie! Took me about 3-4 hours all said and done, with all the trimming, test fitting, drilling holes for mounting hardware, etc. As you can also see, I put the bracket on top of the coolant reservoir and spaced it about 3/8". I don't know if that would have to be done on an F35 car, but the F40 shift linkage is farther forward and raises and lowers as you go through the gears, so I need the extra room for the ECU.

If I take it back off sometime soon I can, but for the mean time I can take a pic of the rest of the bracket that I cut off to give you an idea of what is left. There isn't much of the metal bracket/mount being used!

And thats where the trunk went! lol it also had no hood, headlights or tails, he parted all that.

The cold side comes off the driver side of the IC. I can get a pic of that as well. The hot side has some interesting routing.

Yeah, he had it for sale for $16,500 all together, then got in that little accident, must have got a TON of insurance money, because there was marker on everything from the insurance estimator. Like even the jack points below the car were marked damaged from the "accident" along with where the rear doors wear on the frame a little on the redlines. Blew my mind lol. So I'm assuming he took the insurance check and then just started pulling stuff off the car to sell, but when his new car was on the way he ran out of time and I scooped it up nearly complete. Worked out real well for me, I've been enjoying this thing to drive every day. I am really anxious for spring to drive the red one though! I should be starting it within a couple weeks, and taking it on its maiden voyage.

 

AAHhhhh yes I see what you did there. I would absolutly love to get rid of the fuse box/pcm entirely, but I'm sure be a heck of a lot of work. Either way keep up the good work.

 

New in tank fueling setup in the works, big thanks to Tim at ZZP for the hint. Will require some brainstorming and testing, but it should help keep the canister full during long pulls. I'll post more when I start working on it.

No can do! I finished up almost everything I needed to. Went over to our other location and said goodbye to some people and BS'd with one of the car guys for a bit.

ZZP is replacing my manifold. It was an earlier style with no stress reliefs and was cracked, so Tim just emailed me and said they are replacing it. It showed up at ZZP today and they are shipping the new one out tomorrow along with the things I order tonight! Quick turnaround!

I need some trans fluid, an AEM oil pressure gauge, and a Mini AFC.

 

Yea they forgot to include a maf ext harness with my kit but shipped it the next day after i emailed them.

I think they all have been the new style for quite a while. Mine was from when the previous owner of my gray car first went turbo, so it was pretty old. Tim at ZZP has been absolutely great at answering any questions and giving his input on my ideas, and has taken care of me with this new manifold that they are sending me.

The mini AFC knocks the frequency of the MAF down so you can push it farther without maxing it out as early. Tim said even with the larger MAF housing, if I am going for 600whp it would be a good idea to get one.

As long as everything goes well I should be starting it within about 2 weeks.
