i think thats what is wrong... i had to tighten mine... but im wondering if i went to home depot and bought some very thin rubber washer rings... that would reduce the noise. but then again some people have it on and arent experiencing any noise at all. so maby were all just doing the same thing wrong lol

It did have 2 thin rubber o-ring type washers that go in-between the strut and the bracket.
I also had this noise, I even posted about it ("noise when turning hard left"). I originally thought it was the large bracket hitting the fin of the motor mount, so I ground it to give a little more clearance. That didn't work. I pulled the entire unit off, it looks like the small bracket was hitting, so when I reinstalled I made sure to pull it away from the mount. I also put some high density foam under both brackets where the mount to the frame and engine. I haven't tested it yet but am hopeful.
I think it only happens on left turns because the engine shifts toward the passanger side and causes the motor to bracket contact.

I know with my old style brackets I would occasionally have this problem. It was caused from the bracket rubbing against the motor mount. Turn the car left and then stop it in the turn and look under the hood. If it's rubbing you can either loosen the bolts holding the bracket and try to shove it closer to the motor or grind out the bracket holes a little bit to allow for more room.
If that isn't what's happening, then I'm pretty clueless as to any other ideas. The gentleman saying metal on metal is most likely correct though.
