Injectors ?
Injectors ?
WTF?
Now if you talk to someone at Zzp they tell you that they dont recommend running 60lb injectors on a stock blower,They said that 50s are better and easier to program and you will get a better idle
Anyone hear of this?
What size injectors are you running and what size pulley?
Required injector size for given pulley at 7k rpm
3.35 stock pulley maxes stock 34# injectors
3.1 requires 38#
3.0 requires 40#
2.9 requires 42#
2.8 requires 44#
2.7 requires 46#
2.6 requires 48#

They have tested this for quite a while now. They came up with basically running 60's with a 2.9-2.8 was just overkill. They say they are supposed ti run better with the stock charger. I'm sure they have the r&d to do something like this
when i inquired about my zzp stage 2 kit they told me i should just run more meth with my 2.85" and stick with 42lb injectors. i was hitting 99% idc with 42s and it was still not as rich as i wanted it. seemed like they were trying to talk me out of 60s, thats what i went with anyways. really it has to do with idle quality, the larger the injector the harder it is to make it idle smoothly.
i had zzp remote tuning me after i bought my kit from them. first the car idles fine, but fuel trims were very high, the next tune the fuel trims are pretty close to perfect but it developed a rolling idle. one he got the full throttle tune where he seemed happy with it (was alright but had too much timing causing knock) my e-mails got ignored. seemed he didnt want to fix the idle problems he caused. ive sent several e-mails to the tuner and gotten no response, customer service tells me he is very busy. i guess my problems dont count, or i havent made a big enough deal about it yet. well over a month since my last response.
i got into it a few years ago with a person that represented zzp and i boycotted them. when i got back into modding my car this past year i decided to put that aside and try some of their products. products seem alright but i havent been very impressed with the rest of my dealing with them.
