inspection time is coming soon!
and, i have two CEL's: one for a cat deficiency and the other is a random code (i dont remember the numbers) that when i googled it took me here as a result of my injen install.
1, how would i clear my injen code?
and like 2,3,4,5:...
my cat was clogged than blown out of my exhaust as a result of my wot box. now, i shoot obnoxious flames and frighten small children. it is starting to tear apart my muffler. something on the inside went loose and it rattles like hell!
i want to take it to meineke, delete the muffler (basically a straight pipe with the cat housing) and add a resonator. what do i have to do to clear that engine light so that i can pass inspection?
please... any help would be really appreciated.

take it to a local parts store, like autozone/advance auto/NAPA/O'Reilys. tell them to OBD2 scan your car. Then ask them if you can clear the codes.
By there own policies there not allowed to but if you can get them to let you do it, just clear it that way.

clearing the code only clears it until the issue presents itself again. If the issue is a constant issue, the code will return soon after the next start up. You would need HPT to prevent the code from ever being triggered in the first place.
IF U CLEAR THE CODES IT WONT DO SH**!! i have my inspection license here in pa and u can clear that code all day long, even if u clear it right before u get and OBD2 emissions check it will show. because all the monitors have to be run. thats the automatic emissions system check. and it wont let u do it until all are ran and in ur case it will then c the prob. u technically need a new cat> but u could gut the cat and get an O2 simulator.

perhaps in this guys case it will pop up again, but you make it sound like clearing codes never fixes the issue
well i as meaning if the issue is still there and the u clear the code that it will come back on once it runs that monitor
only if the issue is reoccuring or happens under certain conditions (ie. only happens when u push engine past 5k rpm's or maybe its an old code that hasnt cleared on its own)
