installed 3" catback

I got my 3" altered atmosphere cat-back on the car today. It was built for a cobalt but fits the redline just fine with one small exception. The hanger on the muffler doesn't line up with the hanger on the car and in fact there are 2 hangers on the muffler but only one on the car. Its no huge deal for me because I will just weld it on. The exhaust is decent looking. The welds are all mig welds (some of the flanges could be bad tig welds) and they aren't the greatest looking but are functional. The opening of the fart can at the end is huge! I was sticking my arm into the opening. I would prefer a smaller opening and figure I am gonna get labeled a ricer now around the streets. The car is loud but sounds decent. It sounds better than your typical honda with a fart can on it but not quite as good as my Formula I havent driven it yet as I have a small exhaust leak I have to fix first and wanted to take a small break. Another thing to note is I ordered the exhaust on the 2nd and it just arrived today. They gave me a couple different dates that it was supposed to go out and they got delayed. They said there welder quit on them and they would give me a gift certificate for the trouble. I never got it which dosn't really matter because I don't have anything else to buy from them.

Is there a website where we can check out the exhaust or is it just a local place? My roommate has been looking around for an exhaust for his SS/SC with no luck.

Yep took about a month to recieve mine. I too was promised a gift certificate for the delay.

After finally recieving the catback, there were NO gaskets or bolts in the box, and of course NO gift card. So I called them up complaining, and was promised yet another gift card.

Gaskets and bolts showed up 2days later, again NO gift certificates...LOL

Doesn't matter to me either, as I won't be ordering anything else from them. Although we could use those MIA gift cards to buy ourselves some Silencers.

The exhaust does seem to quiet down after awhile, just a hair. Although it's gonna be REALLY loud with a header and 3inch downpipe!

Glad to see it fit, Enjoy!

The more I read about this exhaust (If you can call it that) the more I wonder why people are still buying it.

I noticed it seems quieter after a while, however I wasn't sure if I was just getting used to the noise or if it was actually quieting down a bit.

might be some of the gaskets sealing a bit after driving for a while. Mines definately loud.

SAME HERE!

I wasn't sure if I just got used to it, or it actually did mellow out.

If we both noticed it, it must quiet down a little. I was thinking maybe after it got all good and carboned up, idk?
