Intense STage 3 Lean Code

I have the intense stage 3 kit and i also have a K&N CAI. I am currently throwing the lean code. Do you guys think it would be benefical for me to put the stock intake back on to correct the AFR or will it not. Basically i am dumping excessive gas in my engine becasue the computer says im running lean therefore dumping more gas in my engine. In other words can i actually gain more power by correcting the AFR than running rich and dumping extra gas in my engine?

So I read your topic and your first sentense.

It's the K&N doing it more than likely. Put the stock intake back on and I bet your problem is solved.

I am having the same problem with my injen intake, im not throughing any codes tho. My car just hicups a lot. When i contacted Intense about the problem they said it was because The car is trying to pull timeing to fast to compesate for the CAI and that i need a custome tune for my car. I really wish they would state on their website not for CAI, because now i pretty much wasted my money on their PCM cause i have to get it retuned.

I throw a code sometimes when im WOT. I just threw a code yesterday since im putting around trying to break in my new clutch. I am also running an Injen CAI. For the most part my cel stays off. I really dont wanna put my stock intake back on and i cant afford a custom tune.

u didnt waste your money. they may have tweaked it for u if u would have told them u had a intake. I told them and they helped me out. I know. i guess Intakes are a waste of money because of how the car reacts. but i wouldnt like my car half as much without the intake. if u want to get rid of the code then take it off. from what i hear the stock intake is just as good. so its up to u

I've been throwing the lean code too Luigi since Dan's tune. It goes off and on when it wants too. The car spikes once and throws the code, but 99% of the time my a/f is fine. It usually goes away for me after a day or so, then comes back a couple days later.
