This is the bearing for the electric motor.

Here's a pic of the nsk bearing next to one of my swiss bones (which are much better bearings)

stacked you can see they are the same dimensions

I thought this was pretty funny.

Damn! I am surprised about this! I suppose that New Bearings is Much Better than the Older 1. Keep Us Informed.

The one in the pump is better because it is metal shielded and sealed. Your skateboard bearing is just rubber sealed...

They may look sealed, but the seal is extremely poor, not even any rubber. I've seen plenty of skateboard bearings in my 17 years of skating with the metal shield, and the metal shields end up falling off almost always. NSK bearings are some of the cheapest skateboard bearings you can get. The swiss bones are plastic shields.

I still would not use the swiss bones for this application because the other side of them is open. this makes them easier to clean, and when you install the bearing into the wheel, it seals the backside of the bearing anyways. This application requires the bearing to be sealed from both sides because it is fully open. You can still get skateboard bearings that are sealed on both sides that are way better than the NSK's. (in fact most of them are sealed on both sides)

There is hardly any force being applied on this bearing, so the nsk would still probably last a million miles. Heck you could probably even use bearings out of a cheap ass wal mart skateboard, but I seriously doubt this bearing will ever fail. I just wanted to point out that they were the same bearings because I thought it was funny lol.

haha no way. Like I said even the cheapest bearing will probably last forever in there. The bearing you see here I'm currently using in my skateboard. There is practically no force on the bearing. I went ahead and bought a new intercooler pump. Was just having fun taking this one apart to see how bad the brushes were. Was thinkin about replacing the brushes and giving someone a good deal on a rebuilt pump for like 30 bucks or so. We'll see if I get around to it. I've been busy as hell rebuilding the drivetrain in my vette (almost done), and then I'm gonna part out this wrecked civic I got for free to put a new engine in the volvo. I have so many car parts I need to get rid of its not even funny lol. There's a good chance this old pump might just go in the garbage.
