ZZP S1 Cams
ZZP S1 Cams
Hey Guys, I did some research around here on this forums about ZZP S1 Cams. I have 2.8 with 50# with full exhaust. I am hoping that will help gain alittle more horses. ZZP selling it for $649.99 and I am hoping that I may get good deals with them. Anyways, Do any 1 of You have that experience with ZZP S1 Cams ? What is the results ? Is it worth it ? How hard is it to switch out those Cams ?
Staged07SS runs them and seems to be very happy with them. He even made a how to when he did the install.
I'm sure he will chime in and give you the details on them power wise.

They mostly move your power band up, increasing it in the top end. No i dont run them thats just what cams do. Id love to see dyno numbers too but no way in hell they are gonna.make ur car slower thats for sure
Mainly one person says its a "dog" at lower rpm. And I think they blow it a little out of proportion. Will you lose low end torque, a bit yes. But like you said, in the upper rpms the car pulls hard. Depends what you like in your powerband.

Even the stock torque is plenty anyway just saying... Its a four cylinder car, and barely getting on the throttle the car will solidly accelerate from 50 in 5th gear i mean what more do you want

People that do not run these or have any experience with cams in general should not even comment....
Anyways, as many have mentioned I run them on my H62, fully bolted, GMRS3 car and I'm very happy with the powerband they provide. Very strong midrange and top end with no noticeable loss of low end power. The car still pulls hard in the low end and roasts the tires. How much exact power do they provide? I guess I wont know, because I did not do a before and after dyno for them, sorry. The gain is very noticable. It's a much larger gain then you feel from bolting on exhaust parts or an intake that's for damn sure.
I will vouch that they are worth what I paid considering they are already dialed in perfectly from ZZP. With further tuning, I can imagine these would be even better than they already are.
These cams are perfect for a modified M62 car. S2 cams are def best for a TVS setup.
Thanks for posting the link man.

I wouldent say st2 better for a tvs car the stg2 cams aren't that big the stg3 is more of a cam and I think that should be a stg2 cam

Stage 2 cams Below 3.5k there is a very noticeable loss in low end tq but at 4k they come to life, kinda feels like turbo lag, at 7 to 8k they pull really strong major difference, but i also did a ported head with oversized valves at the same time
