ZZP S1 Cams
zzp cams stg1 and 2 are the same lift and different duration and lsa
ZZP S1 is 210/206 @ 1mm and 10.78mm/10.69mm lift, 109 LSA
ZZP S2 is 216/218 @ 1mm and 10.78mm/10.69mm lift, 111 LSA
.424 in lift/.420 in lift
the stg3 uses the same intake cam
ZZP S3 is 216/224 @ 1mm and 10.78mm/11.10mm lift, 113 LSA
.424 in lift/.437 in lift
now zzp (and gm)measures the duration incorrect the industry standard is to measure duration @.050 not @.039 all they are doing is making the cams look bigger in the duration then they realy are when I looked at my cam cards things dident jive with what was on the website si I figured things out
the stg 2 cams
ZZP S2 is 216/218 @ 1mm and 10.78mm/10.69mm lift, 111 LSA as per zzp
210in/212ex @.050 .424 in lift/.420 in lift as per the comp card
the zzp cams are good cams they work as advertised just don't get to hung up on the specs
here is the specs to the cams I had ground they are supposed to make power from 3000 to 8200 they require .080 piston to valve clearance
ZZP S1 is 210/206 @ 1mm and 10.78mm/10.69mm lift, 109 LSA

I asked ZZP about that, and they said @ 0.050 is the old way, and shows about 6 degrees difference.
My card said 204in/200ex respectively @ 0.050.
Get those cams installed asap John!!

No its not stupid, if people cant ask questions about a product then why should someone post about it that has no proof of gains.

Ur comment was ignorant I was showing how that works two fold, people that dont have the cams should be allowed to post questions or point out other sources that do have experience with the cams. My source of info was a comment powell made. you wanna bet that he has installed more cams then you?

I don't care how many cams John installed. I'm not talking about John. I'm talking about you. You have zero experience with them, and have never been in an LSJ with them.
Until you have, you should stay quiet in terms of if they are worth it or not.

Hey Guys, There's No Reason to be bashing over just the Cams ? Really!? Come On Guys There's No Reason to Argue Over This. I am gonna get Cams and Valve Springs soon. Then I am gonna post up my experience with them. It is really pointless to argue about the Cams that Whoever has not experience them. I don't care about anybody says about putting a lot of Cams in Cobalts. I just want to hear who has experience with them.

I look forward to your review.
If you need any help with the install feel free to PM me anytime.
You can post questions all you want, but to regurgitate something you heard on here with out actually installing a particular part or feeling the difference first hand is ignorant.

Vander, Slow Your Roll. I know You have Your opinions and I get that. Everybody has many different opinions but it's ok to hear out their experience. You never know You may missing out something that You can get benefit from. It's Alright Man.
I was not the one that started taking shots at people, i posted up what I heard from powell and then staged came in the thread trying to measure dicks because he has installed one set of cams, he shouldt have open his mouth since my post was within the guidelines and cited from a credible source.
Do you know how stupid u sound? I wont stay quiet because im allowed to comment in the section as long as its on topic, if you're talking about my comment then you're talking about john because its his info im citing it from, he said the stage cams where great for a 1/4 car but didnt feel it was worth the money for a dd, he also said cams lose tq to gain hp so it sounds like you dont really gain much for the cost of 650 bucks. Im sorry if this is not what ur amazingly accurate butt dyno says but I trust john more on this topic then you.
lol listen vander powel is a good dude but seriously blinded on the cams subject the stock cams are great cams and for most people they are enough the zzp cam are great cams they work and you don't loose torque if anything it may get moved around a bit but will still gain more torque you want proof of gains go get a set and put them in you will be suprised
Vander, If You talk to TurboTim. He may give You a better Deals for Cams and Valve Springs. It doesn't always has to be $650 for set of Cams and $300 for set of Valve Springs.
Zzp stage 2 cam user here. I do feel some minorloss of tq below 3.5k. Think of it as a traction control mod.f u really need that much tq down low just take off at higher rpm from the line and problem solve.
Now for the good stuff....once u go above 4k rpm......car becomes alive......keep pushing it all theway up to 8krpm and u will have a big smile on ir face
