Exclamation Intercooler pump malfunction cause reduced HP?

Can having a broke Intercooler pump mess with my horsepower? When I replace the pump do I need to unplug my battery to reset the ECM to see my power back to normal?

Yes because your IATs skyrocket and the car pulls timing.

No you dont have to mess with the battery.

Just make sure to refill the system when you replace.

You probably have more of a problem than the pump being dead. Check the codes.

If you have engine power reduced then there is a check engine light which is a code.

That happened a whole ago I hit 120 I'm guessing my iats got too high an it killed my car before I blew

If the pump is dead it reduces timing without a code?

Changing the pump isn't just gonna bring your from say 180 back to 205hp for example. It's only gonna pull timing if it gets really hot.
