I think me and you and a few others should just keep our noses out of this thread and let the parties involved hash it out.

We dyno Cobalts on a regular basis. We know what they sound like. It's not like one persons car can magically have a lower pitch at a much higher RPM.

yeah lag isntt that bad (4200 rpm full boost), but I still have 4000 rpm of full power, car desn't go past 5k rpm on shifts. It holds it's own.

**** I'll post screen shots of the datalogs if it will make you guys get off my back, **** you're part of a "professional" shop, try and act that way for once.

here's a better pic to show the 9500 rpm
rev limiters (2) weren't working for some odd reason, never got a chance to figure it out. an it was down at 145psi compression in cylinder 2, sorry but I don't have pics and videos of that for you, only about 10 people that were there when I tested the motor

also call up nrg if you got a problem their numbers on the pic. Ask to speak to Miller.

Not saying you're lying; just saying you're not showing anything.

The video doesn't show boost, doesn't show HP and doesn't show a car going to 9500. The title of the video is not truth. So if we know for a fact that the car did not go to 9500 yet the video claims it did, they why would we believe anything else related to the car?

438WHP on 19 psi at 9500 rpm on a stock ECU core with 3 good cylinders. LOL, whatever...
see again you go running your mouth. How is it not truth, I've posted proof. I'm sorry it's ZZP's dyno or car so it can't really make any power.

**** it, I really don't need to prove anything to you.

and one thing I don't do is lie, I have no reason too, this isn't my job, not my lively hood, it's a hobby.

don't be pissed cause some guy can do **** like this in hhis driveway. you should be happy someone can cause it gives people something to think about doing to their car, hence make business. Which you sorely seem to miss

rev limiters (2) weren't working for some odd reason, never got a chance to figure it out.
1. You didn't find it strange that you never figured out why your rev limiter 'failed'?

-It didn't because you did not go to 9500 rpm. That's not possible. This should have been your first clue that someone on the dyno was setup wrong. There are 3 limiters in the PCM and any one of them would have shut down the car. PCMs don't 'forget' where the limiter is.

2. Anyone familiar with dynoing Cobalts can listen and hear it's not hitting 9500rpm.

3. You know from experience the car hits full boost at 4k rpm, yet on your dyno it doesn't happen til past 5k (on the graph) this should have been clue 3.

4. The factory PCM cannot be set for higher than 8192. It won't work.

5. The OEM parts still used on your car will not operate at 9500 rpm.

6. The power climbs past 9k rpm. This isn't possible.

If you post more information we can help you figure out what happened.

Questions:
-What gear was this pull done in?
-Was the dyno using a tach pickup or roller speed to get rpm?
-Do you have other pulls from the same day?
-Do you know what car dyno'd before you or was it you?

i am going to have to say NRG tech has to be the highest reading dyno that i know of. i put down 307whp/302torque with a 45wet shot on gm stage 2 tune on small injectors and a cx h/e on stock header/dp/exhaust and 2.80 pulley. that's it and i put down 307whp/302torque.

since then i up'd my shot to a 75shot and put a header and dp on the car and now put down 309whp/321torque on a mustang dyno. i would have to say if i jump on nrg's dyno now i would prob put down 340whp/360torque knowing what i did and the fact that i went to the track and gained 5mph in the 1/8 with the bigger shot.

ether way if paul dyno's on the mustang dyno i went on or nrg's dynojet i would have to say once he is done it's going to be over 500whp so you can't really argue anything because ether way it's the most amount of power someone has gotten out of this car on this forum. i know of one guy in new jersey his car is built running a turbo who is going for 600whp that's at tune time performance now. he made 440whp or something on pump gas before the engine build

Yes, many things are impossible. That has to be one of the most ignorant statements I've ever heard.

poster "I dyno'd 800WHP on my stock Cobalt"
Zooomer "that's not possible, the dyno reported wrong"
Area47 "Zoom, nothing is impossible"

But yes, posting the logs as well as answering the other questions would help get to the bottom of the discrepency.

bodner, you are wrong there.

as for my dyno, he just layed into the car, that's why it didn't hit til 5k.
trust me it went up to 9500 rpm. PCM stopped on the log at 8192, but how did I hit 149mph in 3rd gear.
**** I'll post the log up to shut you up, then I'm done in here.

as for the limiter, I have no idea, it shut the car down on me the night before, like engine diasbled message crap.

4. The factory PCM cannot be set for higher than 8192. It won't work.

again no ****

5. The OEM parts still used on your car will not operate at 9500 rpm.

there are no oem parts in my car minus the trans

6. The power climbs past 9k rpm. This isn't possible.

fell off at 8500rpm actually if you even looked at the dyno sheet

If you post more information we can help you figure out what happened.

all info has been posted

Questions:
-What gear was this pull done in?

3rd gear

-Was the dyno using a tach pickup or roller speed to get rpm?

it was a real dyno, uses a tach pickup

-Do you have other pulls from the same day?

yeah all 3 are on that sheet i posted and all vids are up on youtube
-Do you know what car dyno'd before you or was it you?

caliber srt-4 with a sst turbo setup on 24 psi, made 378whp with full bolt ons
here is your log, drop the high and mighty attitude and maybe you won't make your self look like a complete **** bag like this again
all questions are answered in quote

don't mind the wideband readings, I have a different config I'm using, this one shows off a full point

july 20, 1969. the impossible came true.
1945, the first atomic bomb was detonated.

the impossible is thought of by many as a way to dodge a bullet. not plausible. this is a better wording to use.

never said it made power to 9500, it dropped off at 8500, dyno sheet clearly shows that

that;s my cheapo ebay laptop. use it for tuning only lol. I use my cellphone for internet service on it, hence why the anti virus is out of date.

What a hypocritical thread.
Not trying to choose sides here, but gives you nut swingers the right to criticize ZZP?
They made claims.... you all said to back them up.... they did.
On the flip side; You made claims.... they said to back them up.... you won't. What the ****? Grow up!
Posting old dynos, 'potential', speculation, and street runs mean ****. If you make a claim, and get called out.... at least have the decency to either back it up, or withdraw.

What ever.... this is typical CSS bullshit. You kids have fun.

wait wut? I backed up everything I said with actual data and proof.
I'm not bashing zzp in anyway, I was actually quite happy about their accomplishments.

as for when I had my earlier disagreements with them, I had asked for the same proof and never received it. That was my only complaint, oh and the attitude of "if we didn't do it, no way you can" that gets passed off in most of the replies to what I've posted.

to ZZP if you think I intentially follow you around to harrass you, tis not true. You just happen to post things I'm interested in, which is what brings me in here.
