Doubt it, the rods arent damaged, nor does it appear it stuffed from any kind of detonation damage. Looks like he just exceeded the limits of the bearings briefly. Need to run clevite H bearings if you're going to push the limits that much.

good man, I love the performance of clevite HX bearings. Always had fantastic success with them.

 

That 383 was on a 105* day. Same setup, better weather and more fuel... Better results

I'd probably consider upgrading the rod bolts at this point in time as well if you havent already, just my suggestion.

 

Got locked out in both 2nd and 3rd gear when I took it down the track. So much time lost.

It wasnt just driver mod, Hockeyman drove it too, he refused to spray tho lol
