i mean it runs normal, but at certain RPMS everytime i floor it like around 4800-5300rpms it feels when the car strugles and i see my boost gage and its at 16psi. its like less then a second that it does this and it happens like in every gear around the same rpms. =z

doesn't make sense that you would be boosting that high on an open exhaust like that with a stock pulley, do you have a cat in the downpipe, if so its prolly clogged or fried.

its true. no i dont have a cat but i have 2 resonators. its a custom exhaust that i had for my previous setup which was 2.7pulley, 60s, zzp tuned, stage 2 belt, CAI, Headers, and the 3" exhaust. but now am pretty much stock again and i will be putting back my stock exhaust again next weekend. so i dont get what could be causing this issue...all i have is a check engine ligh for my cat....

It's your plugs.

why would that cause him to overboost though?

It wouldn't cause him to over boost. If he doesn't have a cat then its the poor design of his exhaust that is causing his high boost more then likely, or he is reading the gauge improperly.

could be that the guage is just off as well, if so the plugs would make sense.

What plugs and what gap are you using, or do you even know?

I'm not trying to be a smart ass but you aren't going to be boosting 16lbs on a 3inch system with a stock pulley unless something was clogging the system. You don't have a cat so there goes that idea, so unless you have a potato in the back of your exhaust something isn't adding up here. You should have LESS boost then stock right now.

I don't know why your boosting 16lbs as I'm not there right now, but I would bet that the issue is plug related that's causing your surging. Have you been tuned at all or are you on a stock pcm?

OK. am on stock pcm and i will be putting back my stock exhaust again which has the cat obiously and everthing...remember am telling u i had this exhaust mainly for my previous set up. and am defenately not making less boost than stock because ive seen it myself. at low RPMS the cars makes normal boost as stock but at high rpms is when it goes way beyond its suposed to be for the size of the pulley...

You have an airflow restriction somewhere. If you don't have a cat and you have 3" exhaust then it isn't the exhaust causing the airflow restriction. That means it is something between the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold. Could be an intake valve getting stuck and floating at higher RPMs.

If u are on the stock tune and not a stage tune then ur car should open the boost bypass when it goes above 12.5 psi unless u have the boost bypass mod. You will feel it flutter and see the guage drop. I kknow this cause I put the stg 2 oulley on the stock tune before I did the boost bypass and it did it to me.

I am leaning towards the stock guage being off. Check the codes cause if u have a cat code u wont know if another code comes up cause the engine light will already be on

I dont get 16lb on a 2.8 and im just catless stock exhaust. Are you on the stock tune? And how do you know your leaning out? My thoughts were the plugs, but you said you changed them.
