Lifters

so i am wondering where u can get lifters at for a stock cobalt need to fix my ticking problem and was wondering id the jp solid lifters will work in a stock motor please let me know

i have the JBP solid lifters and they should only be used with a higher lift cam that would normally collapse the factory lifter. if you get the JBP solid lifters they are not a drop in part. they have to be machined within x amount of thousands depending on the cams that you are running to account for valve lash. if you have stock cams stick w the stock lifters. what oil are you running? that could be the reason why its ticking. plus with solid lifters you car will sound like a damn tractor.

gmpartsdirect.com for all your stock lsj part needs, ya dont do solid lifters unless you plan on running said cams, adjusting lash every 15k can be annoying, and if they are neglected it can cause premature wear on the entire valvetrain. But if you are going the solid route look into ble lifters.

i love amsoil but i dont believe the 20,000km oil change w/ just filter changes at regular intervals

yeah im running mobil one and changin the oil and filter every 4,000 miles if chevy says its good then im good with it i allso had a acdelco filter colaps on me ny body know y this happens
