arm, japetr why is putting an ATI on the crank so difficult? I have not had that difficulty in the past so I am wondering...its a good fit, but...? fill me in...tx.

I heated up the center with a heat gun and slid it most the way on with a welding glove, ran iitnin with the old crank bolt... Done deal

I didnt have all thread handy or would have done that. Blake wasnt gonna wait until morning

The main problem i have with heating it up is hurting the front seal.

if you call ati they tell you to instsll it that way or get a long bolt to pull it on a heat gun wont hurt it just make sure the seal is well lubed

separate they dampener from the hub then use a standard dampener puller

No way to damage the seal really, seperate the damber from the hub, i heated the hub, and while holding it with a welders glove, quickly got it lined up on the keyway and about 40% on, then used the old crank bolt to run it on, pulled the old crank bolt off, put new crank bolt in, and then put thw damper on the hub

there are threaded holes to pull on no need to seperate iirc.

I think a nice how to with photos needs to be made for this.

I may look into installing one of these over the winter.
