it'll be different with size of exhaust. Why do you want to know? Boost doesnt = power necessarily.

80mm - 20psi
85mm - 17.5psi

On average w/ stock exhaust parts and stock head, results will vary on porting, header, exhaust size

3.35" = 12.5 (stock)
3.0" = 15 (GM stage2)
2.9" = 16
2.8" = 17
2.7" = 18
2.6" = 19
2.5" = 20

This is all relative. Elevation, ported blower, and above mentioned exhaust work/ported head will decrease pressure by increasing flow. Which is good. My ported 2.6" m62 w/ full 3" exhaust ran 16psi

Boost is completely dependent on how well the rest of your engine flows. There is no definitive chart on xxx pulley size = xxx boost. Even that Harrop one is only an approximation.

thanks alot for that, i think i need to get hold of a gauge.

does anyone know where to get one and how to fit it?

my current setup is low compression overbore 2.2 with ported head, 3" full exhaust system, 2.8 pulley soon to be 2.7 and soon to have some blower cams

many thanks

Joe

Couldn't guess what psi you'll see. That rough chart i did was for the LSJ (2.0) no the L61 2.2L The 2.2 will see lower psi, and ported this, changed that will all effect the pressure

4006 is now my answer to everything here.

"what's the top speed of an ss/sc? " 4006 mph

"how much power will XXX and XXX mods give me?" 4006whp

"my car blew the sleeve during a race" that's because you were trying to make 4007whp when clearly the engine will only support 4006whp

it's all common knowledge

If you have a 2.2, then the gauge will simply tie into a vac line

That is why I said my comment. I think I have seen it in a few threads

vac "vacuum" line off of the intake manifold.

drill... I dont believe you have to. Get a mechanical boost gauge, do you have the LSJ intake manifold? If so there should be a Vacuum line nipple that is just under the fuel rail (unless the fuel rail is located in a different location vs. LSJ). Tee into that (again unless the 2.2 do it a different way) and run it to the gauge.

Ahh yes Im pretty sure where you mean, u do have to use a lsj inlet manifold, will buy a T piece and go into that.

Will update with a list of my mods and the psi Reading once I have it

My ported 2.6" m62 w/ full 3" exhaust ran 16psi
I also have a full 3" with long-tube header, 2.8" making 14psi, did a maf retune, added 5-10% fuel, it pulls pretty hard. I am impressed. Stage 2 injectors run at 104% DC at 6800rpm, at 10.78afr. Next mod is obviously injectors and a zzp pulley tensioner bracket.
