Make Your Own Poly Mounts

Has anyone ever heard of using polyurethane window glue to fill in OE rubber engine/trans mounts? Some one told me about this and im not sure if it would work. I guess the glue used to attached the mounting brackets to glass car windows is made of polyurethane. I have used the glue before, but not for filling in mounts. The stuff sticks to just about anything, and when it dries its very tough stuff. It seems like it would work, but I dont want to mess up my mounts. But if it does stiffen up the OE mounts, it would be worth the time and the 5 bucks for the poly window glue! Sorry if this a repost, I searched and didnt see anything about it. If anyone has done this, please post and tell everyone how they turned out.

I too thought about buying Poly myself and filling the mounts. Maybe we will find out soon if it works. It can't RUIN the mounts LOL, it either wastes your time and money or saves you money. Love the DIY mods!

It works ok. I have used window weld a long time ago. It did however wear out in time. The window weld seperated from the rubber that it was filling.

Wouldn't filling the mounts help with overall movement? Like they wouldn't let the motor move as much but at the same time be better vibration wise than the aftermarket ones? I might think about doing this too. I was gonna get aftermarket ones but I hate shakes and rattles they make.
