I just turned my 07 abck to stock, and that terrible knocking sound iv had in the motor(sounded like the timign chain area) has gone away completely!.....WTF? has anyone else had a car they put a stock intake back and its it quieted engine noises? soudns kinda crazy

 

i have that sound at start up and my car is stock. i really hate that sound too!!!!

 

Sounds more like the rotors in the blow to me. RL did it from the day the CAI was put in, so it's clearly something in the intake tract making the noise.
