More GM Stage 2 questions

So I owe my dad around 2k for the balt still (No modding till its off.) But since I've been destroying all my college classes he said he would buy me GMS2 and an intake and just add it onto my debt

So I know GMS2 is Injectors pulley and a canned tune, does this raise the rev limiter to 7.2k or is that only ZZP/OTTP

And for the intake I assume it would matter if I Installed the intake before or after the Stage kit, I'm assuming after would be simpler since it the car would only have to learn it once instead of relearning again it after the GM tune

You can do the zzp stage 3 for about 100 bucks less than the gm stage 2 go with zzp stage 3 with stage 3 heat exchanger I think all together it was about 500 bucks

I'll talk to my dad, like I said he's buying it so ultimately it sup to him since it will be put onto it while it's still technically his, and He likes the fact that It's installed by GM and all that since he hates me modding cars haha

OP, please use search button .... there is a million threads on information pertaining to GM Stage 2, or any stage kit for that matter.

To answer your question ....

GM Stage 2 = 77.9 pulley & hub, shorter belt, 42 lb/hr injectors, Tune, 7,000 rpm limit.

Why not pay off the 2K first and then mod it the way you want? Rather than add to what you owe your dad.

just my 2 cents.

yea if the warranty is up then definitely push for the ottp or zzp kit

you will make alot more power than the gms2 and the tune will be better plus u can set ur limiter up to i believe 7400 if u like. just make sure you get the proper cooling mods

Which you should not do unless you have upgraded valve springs.

Ugh, I hate reading threads about "My daddy owns the car, and I have to ask permission" These cars are already getting to the teens.

Anyways, OTTP is the best route

Not to rag on GM techs but I have heard in some instances that a few dealerships don't even know about the Stage kits, if you are mechanically inclined or know someone that is I'd go with the ZZP/OTTP

Ottp stage 2, Installed it about a month and a half ago. Couldn't be happier with the performance, Definatly recommend OTTP.

the only reason to go stage 2 is the warranty. gms2 is much too expensive. go with a vendor stage kit. any of the stage kits will be fine
