I have a Magnus one for my eclipse. I was surprised they worked so well. After that a
and cutting out my front mount whole I lost like 12* according to my logs. I still don't have any heat shields so that would probably help even more.

Frew the bolts should be used. The two inverted torx studs in the center are too short and u would only be able to thread the nut a few times. They would probably strip out when u torque them down. And the other remaining studs would only go into the head an eighth of an inch. Just use the bolts theyre actually nice quality ones as well. I would be worried about the oem ones pulling threads out.

And i too in va would have ambient temps of 100+

Quick question. When I did my dual pass I did not have to take off the alternator or even loosen the bolts for it. Same with the ic pump. Do I have to take loosen or take of the alt and ic pump to do this? Or can I just get my intake off like I did with the dual pass?

You need to remove the ic pump bracket in order to install the spacers. By all means if you can get to the elusive bolt without removing the alternator then big props to you

It's like this mod just blew up recently. Never heard of it, read one post, ordered and installed now every one is doing it. I put mine on 2 weeks ago and have yet to drive it more than 2 miles at a time(live and work on base) but the temps are so much lower now. My car never had the lower manifold bolt so it was even quicker for me to install. But $99 for temps like this, worth every penny!!

I contemplated getting the spacer for about a year, didn't think it was going to work so well because no one ever said anything about it. I put it on and was amazed at the temp drop so I made a review thread and now here we are.

So it's like a kit? More than a spacers for the IM and bolts? spacers for the ic pump too?

The lower intake manifold bracket and the intercooler pump bracket are attached to each other. Two of the spacers are for the lim bracket and one spacer for the ic bracket. Once you take everything apart you'll understand

Nizzle u must be dam flexible if u took the 15mm bolt out of the lower manifold without taking the alternator loose. Its worth the three bolts for the alternator to access it lol

yes but more so because youll have cooler ita2's to begin with. i just got my meth up and running again with the 10gph nozzle, after i do a pull with a starting temp of 88 iat2 after the run all through fourth i was seeing like 120's on my 2.7. Then after of course they would drop instantly. (at the strip when i ran my 13.1 @ 107 my iat2's were 160's at the trap and that wasnt even coming out of third!!) Its more for idling in the staging lanes or at a drive threw where it shines because it keeps the heat transfer from the cylinder head to the manifold and blower at bay

or just get bolts that are a quarter of an inch longer than your stock ones. but youd have to go to the hardware store after pulling the manifold
