My Ebay Intake/CEL..GRRRrrr!!
Got this exact same ebay intake..Item number: 150120133183 ....less than 76 bucks shipped to door, went on good, had to mod a little, was a bit messed up with the piece that goes back into the pipe though, only one hole for the two screws was tapped, the other has something in it, might have to ream it out and re tap...but put intake on, sounds good, etc....CEL...
code 172 saying it's running rich on Bank 1...any suggestions...what's the FASTESt Way to order AEM DRYFLOW please...??
by the way, look at the price of that intake...it's for a superchardged 2.0 even though they don't specify..trust me, i made sure before they shipped it...now search that user's store... direcetshoponline look at the other intakes for a 2.0 supercharged...for some reason they specify the 2.0 SC motor...and the intake is like...20 bucks more...i obviously wanted to spend the lesser amount, so i guess i took a chance and didn't pay attention to it not saying for 2.0..but it is, they said so...and it hooked up pretty well except for the bracket not lining up with the bolt, easily fixed with a 3 inch long piece of drilled metal strap and two bolts...maybe it was cheaper cuz where that piece...the(...........) what is it...that goes into the intake pipe near the filter had only one hold that a screw could go through to secure it into the intake...
Final question...to clear out that code myself and put the intake back to the stock piece, would i just replace the intake...disconnect battery then hook back up and start her up..??

you dont want to clear the code until you have made sure there are no problems. are there any air leaks? is every fitting and MAF on correctly? make sure of these and unhook your battery for 20 minutes. this will not only clear the code, but will also reset the addaptives in the pcm
