My potential mini-build list...
well, it wasn't on my build list but i couldn't pass up the black friday deals. got a zzp stealth heat exchanger. considering it holds 3x more coolant and has better use of fins i simply had to. besides its gonna be tough running a 2.7 with an ati this summer! gonna need all the cooling i can get
also purchased a meth kit from someone on here this week, since either my pump or controller shat out a month or so ago. #YOLO

approx 30- 40 diff in moderate to heavy traffic
the iat2 would soar after a pull but as long as your moving after it would recover fairly quick.
if i wanted to run meth i would try 2.6 or a 2.5. i bet the resulting smile would be priceless.
just option b, fmic, dual pass. i had a phenolic but removed it due to it leaking. the increase in heat wasnt that bad. the car was able to handle it, i just made sure i didnt do a pull when it was running hot. if you havent done the ac condenser intercooler switch i suggest to do it. getting the stock he out in the open really helps. i recently removed the condensor and i am running cooler then i ever have. even when i was on a 2.8 pulley.

i assume your talking about the phenolic spacer. yes i did. i torqued the bolts proper but they just kept backing off with time. the hardware they supplied was not very good. after i took it off i learned that the intake mani flowed better without in my opinion. in my experience i found by doing a ac delete i was able to achieve slightly more then double the cooling capabilities over the phenolic.
all im saying is there isnt much diff between a 2.8 to a 2.7. if i was running meth like RB i would drop to a 2.6 or a 2.5. it would be a blast.

a dab of loctite would have fixed that issue.
so you mounted your intake in front of the radiator
someone else gets it
I don't think you need that with the stealth due to the fill point

may have, but it still interupts the flow. i doubt i will do meth. im more leaning to a gm stg3 tune and bottle feeding it. if i had e85 availible here i may reconsider. until then a simple 2.7 setup on 94/110 and a happy button would do just fine.
just remember i dont need ac, the climate is considerably cooler here. i have used 3 times in 6-7 years of owning a balt.
@ mr. b intake infront of rad? fmic=front mount intercooler. ? aftermarket ic, stock ic, rad.

You do not need it.
My option B came from some one who switched to the stealth. He had it on there first and realized it wasnt needed.

ya and even if i converted the opt b to flowthrough it wouldn't be needed at that point considering the resioviour is in the hot engine bay.
so yea anyone need an option b lemme know!

we don't have a front mount intercooler the intercooler is inside the intake manifold pumpkin drop. the Heat exchanger is out font and a heat exchanger is not the same thing as an intercooler
I've had multiple cooling setups, and really didn't see much difference between any of them. I ended up running my 2.6" TVS setup with a stock h/e and a dual pass. Had a FMHE in sequence for quite a while and a phenolic spacer as well at one point. Put it back to simple and let it ride. My car always had high IAT's ever since stock, no matter what I did. Now in the other car its still high, same setup but with the factory h/e up front. I am not worried about it.

i'm not too worried either; just kinda like to be sure when i'm at a redlight in the middle of the summer i can get all my power out. i can definately feel the difference of a cold night pull vs a hot day pull
ps ive seen enough about the phenolic spacer leaking that i suppose i'll ditch it when my mani is off.
my buddy and i are also gonna polish up the mani as well
also just a thought but what do you guys think needs to be done to convert it to single pass? block the holes except one on the drivers side then introduce a new hole on the other?
