I live in Texas and 150 degrees means I have been idling for a long time in 100+ heat or something is wrong. I see mid to low 140s after the 1/8th mile and then on decel a sharp drop.

the experts tend to say seeing anything above 140 like during a pull is bad

not sure at what point the ecu starts pulling timing though (if at all idfk)

one time on a 50-150 pull my iat2 got up to 189 that was in the middle of winter but with no cooling mods

I don't think my car has even seen UNDER 140* on a 2nd-3rd gear pull, and certainly not through 4th. Back on stock blower, TVS, 2 different IC pumps, swapped wiring, any of the cooling mod combos I mentioned earlier. I just accepted it as it was The ECU will pull timing at whatever temp you have it commanded to pull timing, by however many degrees you want. Mine is usually setup to pull 1* at 158* IAT2 and 3 or 4* at 176* IIRC.

Just recently when I got the 07 running I went and started tuning it, and on the first full 3rd gear pull into a little of 4th it just felt so disappointing...then I looked at the log and saw 223* IAT2's with tons of timing pulled...the relay for the IC pump was bad lol fixed it and its all good.

i hit around ~210 IAT2 on during my dyno session over a month ago. pump died going up on the dyno ironically... not posting those numbers

I usually am around 130-150 after a hard pull through 4th on hotter days.

absolutely loving the cold weather. last night i did 40-135ish pull (hit 7k in 4th) and i was just above 100 iat2 lol

forgot to mention this is with basically all cooling mods aside from meth on a 2.8 pulley

Im gonna miss her all winter

On a good note i just paid lsjion most of the amount for the headporting!

Stock pump is perfect. No need to upgrade it.

Change it out for a new one if it has a lot of miles.

fiiine. i figured the stock pump would wind up with issues trying to push so much coolant around

all of my cool ideas get shot down
