Narrowed my choice down to 2
Ok,
Ive been searching for a new intake since I had to remove my K&N
Ive researched quite abit and have it narrowed down to two.
INJEN wich is sold at Cobalt-Addiction
and the ZZP 3" Intake.
I like the ZZP's intake that comes in 2 peices.
This looks like it would make it eayser to adjust
and install. I remember how troublesome it was
to snake the K&N through the hole. Also, I still
have my K&N Intake filter that will work on the
ZZP intake, wich would save me 40 bux.
The ZZP Intake is 3" The K&N is just over 2 1/2"
so that means better airflow. But also could mean
clearance issues though too.
The INJEN intake is what most people seem to have.
Not sure what the diamater is, but it would be slightly
more difficult to install because of the one piece of it.
it is a bit more expensive, but I also know that
you get what you pay for. So sometimes it's better
to pay more money for a better product.
Also:
My current tuen has my Long Term Fuel Trimmed out
into the middle and sometimes high negitive teens.
So if I get extra airflow I could see either intake
bringing my long term trim closer to 0. without
having to retune.
So my question is now.
Should I go with the Tried Tested and true INJEN intake?
Or should I go with the larger diameter, eayser to install cheaper, ZZP one?

I have the ZZP, its a nice intake and it was fairly easy to install, it did hit the brakes lines of my 07 but i just pushed down a little on them and boom it bolted right up to my TB. It sounds awesome dude my blower really screams with it on
Question 1: You mentioned that you just pushed your brake lines down some? What prevents them from poping back up and rubbing on the intake? That's the issue I had with the K&N. I could push them down, but they would spring back up and was rubbing on the intake.
Question 2: How is it performance wise? Compared to Stock? or the Injen?
I pushed mine down far enough and they stayed I just used my palms and did intervals of pushes to slightly bend the lines, doing this did no dmg and the lines will not pop up. Well its about a 9% increase you can kind of feel it and compared to stock it makes my boost gauge read boost in 1st gear. It is worth the 200$ imho

a 9% increase is going from 205hp to 223.45hp
It's ordered. (ZZP 3" Intake) I went with the Gloss Black one with filter,
I looked at it looks like it's a diffrent size then the one
I already have.

It is a true 3 inch thats probably why it looks different? It is a tight fit with the install and the inner tire well plastic cover deal didnt fit all the way back on for me because of the air filter but it doesnt hurt it any.
