I got a 07 cobalt ss, with stage 2. I want a better exhaust for the one i got. I just have the stock. Well the reason i am asking for advice, is i want to put the stage 3 on eventually.. But, i like to have it before stage 3. So i was wondering what do i need to do? Well i do know this i need a high flow exhaust to handle it. But i don't know where to look either. If someone can push me in the right direction or knows somebody that works on cobalts. I'd be appreciative of the info.

I would say just drop down to the stage 3 2.99 pulley or 2.9 on your car...With maybe a gmpp exhuast or a 2.5 exhuast of somekind...Unless you want to spray nos in the car i would go a full stage 3

 

he ment to say wouldnt*. Stage 3 voids the warranty on your car so if you are going staged for warranty reasons, don't get stage 3. If you plan on keeping the warranty go stage 2 with exhaust and cooling mods.

If you plan on voiding the warranty, or don't care about it, then go with a 2.8, 60lbers, and cooling mods.

As far as advice on exhaust, go with a custom made 2.5inch or 3inch if you plan on pushing a lot of power. Custom exhaust + magnaflow muffler + resonator/glasspack/cherry bomb.

 

do my mod's. cheaper than stage3 and better high output in whp. i was going to go stage3 so i think i would know best.

don't go above 2.5 - our car need some restriction - exhaust wise

I tuned a guy with 3 inch from down pipe - back- and he is losing performance
2.5inch is ample enough for our cars - he's got a 2.6 pulley 60lbs inj and meth kit -

 

Your better off getting stage 2, getting smaller pulley blah blah Injectors or something blah blah cooling **** blah blah NOS or something blah.
